Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of the SwingLoop app. They are written to be read, so please do — particularly the parts about your subscription and about swinging a golf club near your phone.
Last updated February 2, 2026The short version
Subscribe through the App Store, use the app for your own golf practice, and don’t try to break it or resell it. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in your Apple ID settings, which takes about fifteen seconds. Your swing videos are yours; we never see them. And please put your phone somewhere a golf club cannot reach it.
That summary is a courtesy, not a substitute — the sections below are what actually apply.
This agreement
These Terms & Conditions form an agreement between you and SwingLoop (“we”, “us”), the publisher of the SwingLoop app. By downloading, subscribing to or using the app, you accept them. If you do not accept them, don’t use the app.
You must be old enough to hold an Apple ID and to enter a contract where you live. If you are using SwingLoop as a minor, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.
Our Privacy Policy is part of this agreement.
Your licence to use SwingLoop
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use SwingLoop on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service, for as long as your subscription is active.
You may use the app on more than one device — that is how it works — and on any device signed in to the same Apple ID your subscription was bought with. We do not licence the app for commercial resale, for use as a paid service you charge others for, or for redistribution.
Subscriptions and billing
SwingLoop requires an active subscription. Subscriptions are offered on a monthly or yearly basis and are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store, in your local currency, at the price shown to you before you confirm the purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the then-current price for your plan.
- You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID settings, at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
- If we change the price of a plan, Apple will notify you and ask you to confirm before the new price is charged. You can cancel instead.
Trials, refunds and cancellation
If an introductory offer or free trial is available for your account, its length and terms are shown at the point of purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Offers are per Apple ID and may not be available to accounts that have subscribed before.
Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not end the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until that period runs out.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. You may also have statutory withdrawal or refund rights under your local consumer law, which these terms do not limit.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code or models in the app, except where that right cannot be excluded by law;
- circumvent the subscription, share access credentials, or use the app through an unauthorised client;
- use SwingLoop to record people who have not agreed to be filmed, or in any place or manner that breaks local privacy, recording or trespass laws;
- interfere with the local network connection between devices belonging to anyone else;
- use the app for anything unlawful.
Ranges, clubs and simulator facilities often have their own rules about cameras and tripods. Follow them; they take precedence over anything convenient.
Safety at the range
SwingLoop asks you to put a device on a tripod near someone swinging a golf club. Please treat that seriously.
- Place both devices well outside the arc of the club and clear of the ball’s flight path, and behind any protective netting your facility provides.
- Make sure the tripod or stand is stable and cannot be blown or knocked over into a hitting area.
- Never look at, adjust or reach for a device while another person is swinging.
- Watch the replay between shots, not during them, and keep your attention on your surroundings.
You are responsible for the safe placement and use of your own equipment. We are not liable for damage to devices, tripods or other property, or for injury, arising from where you chose to put them or from how the app was used at the time.
Not coaching or medical advice
SwingLoop shows you a video of yourself. It does not analyse your technique, score your swing, or tell you what to change, and nothing it shows is golf instruction, physiotherapy, or medical or fitness advice. Practise within your own physical limits and consult a qualified professional — a coach for your swing, a doctor for your body.
Your recordings stay yours
You own the video SwingLoop records of you. We claim no rights over it and we never receive it: recordings are created on your device, sent directly to your other device, and stored there. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.
Because clips live only on your devices, you are responsible for anything you want to keep. Clips are pruned automatically as new swings arrive, and are lost if the app is deleted or the device is reset.
Availability and changes
We may add, change or remove features, and we may end support for older operating systems or devices. SwingLoop depends on things outside our control — your devices, iOS, your local network, and Apple’s services — and we do not promise it will be available or working without interruption at any given moment.
Detection is designed for a fixed camera and a full golf swing. Framing, lighting, clothing, camera position and unusual setups can affect whether a swing is caught, and we do not warrant that every swing will be detected or every clip delivered.
Our intellectual property
The SwingLoop app, name, logo, illustrations, interface and underlying software are owned by SwingLoop and protected by copyright and trademark law. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you beyond the licence described above.
Apple and other third parties
This agreement is between you and SwingLoop only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for SwingLoop or its content. Specifically:
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app;
- if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app;
- we, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and consumer protection claims;
- we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and defending any claim that the app infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights;
- you must comply with applicable third-party terms and confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo, or listed on any US Government prohibited-parties list;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
SwingLoop also uses RevenueCat to verify subscription status. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SwingLoop is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits any non-excludable statutory rights you have as a consumer.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SwingLoop will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost recordings, lost profits or lost practice time, arising from your use of or inability to use SwingLoop.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us, or through the App Store for the app, in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
Termination
You can end this agreement at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting the app. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially break these terms — for example by circumventing the subscription or using the app unlawfully. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) do.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and you may be able to bring proceedings in your local courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app changes. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. If a change materially affects your rights, we will give notice in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use SwingLoop after that means you accept the updated terms.
